Apnea Seal is a nasal seal designed specifically to your face. Benchmark Sleep services has just installed the first facial studio in Australia where people can come and get their facial images taken and these will be sent to bespoke medical for the development of your mask. The nasal pillow section which has been tailor made from your facial photos is then turned into a 3D computer image which will then be used by a 3D printer that prints the seal. This seal will then be attached to the frame of the mask and your mask is then completed. The process takes about 3 weeks from photos to the products arriving

Apnea-Seal is a custom-made nasal and nasal pillow mask  that works in conjunction with Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) therapy. To take advantage of this offer you will need to make an appointment or send through an enquiry. The facial studio is only available at our Crows Nest outlet

Apnea-Seal uses the latest scanning technology to design an interface between the nasal pillow or mask and the unique contours of each individual’s nose. Apnea-Seal aims to provide key benefits to the management of CPAP therapy in the treatment of Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA).

Key benefits

  1. The custom fit will reduce mask leakage and can reduce eye irritation and skin irritation

  2. The mask is lightweight and will reduce skin irritation, add a lot of comfort and reduce strapping force

  3. Assists compliance by making the mask leakage low and comfort high.

All of these benefits will enable you to have a better and healthier night’s sleep and remain compliant with the CPAP therapy that has been recommended for you.

To be able to create Apnea-Seal, a facial capture process takes place. This is a 2 minute procedure that involves having a series of photographs taken using a purpose-designed photogrammetry studio to capture the surface of the nose from many different angles.

To gain the greatest benefit from CPAP therapy it is recommended that it is used each and every night as recommended by your sleep specialist.

It is so important that you persist with CPAP therapy as any amount of time used each night will have positive benefits to your ongoing health and wellbeing.
